Solo Series: The perfect skincare line for solo Estheticians
If you’ve decided to become a selling aesthetician right out of school, you might be unsure about which product brand to choose. While your training has introduced you to the products provided by your school, those aren’t available for retail. So, what’s the next step? Don’t worry! I’m here to share a few of my favorite skincare lines that are now offering their products to licensed aestheticians embarking on their solo journeys.
Circadia
Circadia is at the forefront of skincare innovation, blending decades of research and expertise to create products that not only enhance beauty but also align with the body’s natural rhythms. This brand delivers state-of-the-art formulations and cutting-edge technologies while prioritizing education for skincare professionals. What I love about Circadia is that their products are results-driven, just like the other lines on this list. While there are a few requirements to set up a pro account, they are reasonable and manageable.
Face Reality
Face Reality is a go-to line for acne professionals. While it may not be essential for your shop, if you want a well-known brand specifically catered to acne treatment, this is the one to choose. They do require you to complete an extensive course to be considered an acne specialist and to sell their products. This line is fantastic for new aestheticians, as it not only provides effective acne treatments but also offers valuable education about acne management.
Glymed
Glymed is hands down one of my favorite lines on this list. It’s exceptional for chemical peels and online marketing. Glymed offers an online store option where you can sell products through your website and earn commissions on sales. Additionally, you can stock their products on your shelves and use them in your back bar. They provide excellent educational resources that are easy to access on their website, along with in-person training opportunities if you’re local or willing to travel.
dEhaz
deHaz is a bit more niche but delivers impressive results. Their botanical facial products are surprisingly potent. However, be mindful that some of their products have a strong fragrance, so if your clients are sensitive to scents, this line might not be the best fit. One standout product is their turmeric mask, which leaves my skin glowing—it’s my go-to whenever I’m feeling dull. While deHaz products can be on the pricier side, their masks and exfoliators are reasonably priced.
Final Thoughts
This list could go on, but I’ll wrap it up here. When selecting a product line, consider key factors like availability, price point, and educational support. Remember, what you use in your back bar doesn’t have to be the same as what you sell. Your goal is to help clients maintain their results, but avoid giving them the exact recipe for achieving those results at home. Overdoing it can lead to setbacks, and nobody wants that!
I hope this guide helps you navigate your product choices. Best of luck on your solo journey!
